Bill Fiskes Bugle – Santa letters from 1942

Dear Santa,

We are two little school boys and we want you to bring us a coaster wagon, tank, bulldozer, bugle and a lot of good things to eat.

Your little friends,

Billy and Bobby Choate

Dear Santa,

I am a little boy eight years old and I go to school. I want you to bring me a big scooter with balloon tires and please don’t forget my daddy and my four uncles who are in the service.

Love,

Leroy M. Kyle

Dear Santa,

I am a little girl seven years old. Please bring me a doll, a set of dishes, and lots of nuts, fruits, and candy; and don’t forget the other children.

Your little friend,

Helen Collins

Dear Santa,

I hope I’m not asking for too much in this time of war, but I would like to get a skating doll, a doll house with furniture, and a blackboard.

A little friend,

Betty Ruth Cherry

Dear Santa,

We want a doll, ring, necklace, lots of fruits, nuts, and candies. Bring our brother, Benny a little car and train.

Love,
