Youthful K-8 Junior Bulldogs finish season with .500 mark

CELINA-The Celina K-8 Junior High Bulldog football team just concluded a 4-4 season, placing three players on the conference all-star team.

Coach Randall Walker’s young squad scratched out a .500 season despite having only two returning starters, and the Junior Bulldogs put three players on the Middle Tennessee Football Conference.

Chris Nagy, George Fraga and James Tyler Strong made the conference all-star squad.

“Considering our inexperience, we probably had about as good a season as we could,” Walker said. “We had only two returning starters, and they didn’t start on both sides of the ball. We had a very inexperienced squad, but I’m pleased with their effort and progress during the season.”

K-8 recorded wins over Burks, Algood, Cannon County and Pickett County.
