NEWEST HALL OF FAME MEMBERS-Five new members were inducted into the Clay County Sports Hall of Fame last week.  The Class of 2024 included Rob Edwards, Cassandra (Cooper) Smith, Brandon Boone, Paulina (Herrmann) Bennett, and the late Ranford Watson.  They were honored with a reception prior to being inducted in front of a crowd gathered for Clay County High School’s basketball game versus Monterey last Friday night.  Pictured (left to right) are Watson’s son Michael Watson and daughter Lisa (Watson) Thomas, who accepted on his behalf, along with Boone, Edwards, Smith, and Bennett.  Visit www.claycosportshof.com for more information about the organization, including how to nominate someone for the honor.
