Hunter Safety classes set at Hermitage Springs and CCHS
Hunting season is fast approaching, so begin planning now for hunter safety classes in Clay County.
If you were born after January 1, 1969 and are 10 years old or older, you are required to complete a hunter safety course prior to hunting in Tennessee.
There will be two classes offered in Clay County this year. The first will be held at the Clay County High School from Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21.
Registration will begin promptly at 5 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
The second hunter safety class will be held at Hermitage Springs School beginning Monday, August 24, at 5 p.m. in the cafeteria.
Classes will run from 5-9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“We understand that people are involved in many different activities. However, if the student will not be able to attend at least four nights of classes, then they should try to find a course that might not conflict as much with their activities,” said TWRA officer Bill Moulton.
