Clay County Schools receive TWRA archery grant
Clay County Schools recently received a grant from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) to help fund the purchase of archery equipment to be used in all three schools across the county. All physical education (P.E.) teachers in the system are also now certified by the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) to safely teach archery in their respective school. “Not every student enjoys football, basketball, or one of the traditional sports,” a school system representative said. “We hope adding archery will encourage more students to become active.”
