You are hereby notified that a primary election for U.S. Senate, U.S. Congress, State Senate,
and State House of Representative, and County General election be held in all voting precincts
on Thursday, August 1st, 2024

ATTENTION VOTERS
Please be prepared to show proof of identification when you go to vote Thursday, August 1st, 2024. A voter
must have a Tennessee or Federal government issued photo ID. If no photo identification is provided, the
voter will vote a provisional ballot and the voter will have until two business days after the election to return to
the election commission office and show a valid photo I.D. or the ballot will be rejected. Forms of acceptable
identification (even expired) include a Tennessee Driver’s License with your photo, United States
Passport, Department of Safety photo ID, Photo issued by the Federal or Tennessee state government,
United States Military photo ID or Gun permit card with your photo. The voter can sign an oath stating
he/she is indigent or have a religious objection to being photographed.
NOTICE: Persons registering to vote on By-Mail forms, this includes actual By-Mail Forms or forms downloaded off the
Internet, are required by law to vote either in person at the polls or in person during Early Voting the first time after they
register to vote. You must bring proof of residency with you such as a CURRENT TN Driver’s License, TN Dept. of Safety
Photo ID, Social Security Card, or any other document with your name, current address and signature PLUS a Photo ID. The
last day to register is July 2nd, 2024 for this election.
ATTENTION CANDIDATES
Display of campaign posters, signs or other campaign materials, distribution of campaign materials and
solicitation of votes is strictly prohibited within 100 feet of any polling place. (TCA 2-7-111)
During the hours the polls are open, candidates are not to enter a polling place unless they are there to cast their
vote. (TCA 2-7-103)

Pursuant to TCA 2-3-109(e), Notice is hereby given that elderly voters or voters with disabilities assigned to vote in
precincts where the polling place is inaccessible may vote at the Election Office on Election Day or they may vote early
by personal appearance during the dates specified for early voting at the election office.
Any elderly voter or voter with disabilities desiring to vote at the election office on Thursday, August 1st, 2024 must
notify the Administrator of Elections in writing of their intention to do so. Such voter shall complete an affidavit at the
election Office stating that their designated voting location, to the best of their knowledge, is inaccessible. The affidavit
must be received by the Election office not less than ten (10) days prior to the first election in which the elderly voter or
voter with disabilities plans to vote at the Election Office on Election Day. The voter shall not be required to complete
another affidavit unless the voter’s precinct changes from the precinct cited in the affidavit on file. Such affidavit must be
received by the Clay County Election Commission by July 22nd, 2024.
