CHRC News: New Social Services Director named, activity professionals celebrated

CELINA-Celina Health and Rehabilitation Center (CHRC) recently named a new Social Services Director and celebrated members of their activity professional staff.
Annie Robertson, LPN has been named the new Social Services Director for the facility and she assumed her new position on February 3.
Robertson started her career at CHRC in Februrary of 2020 as a CNA and later advanced her education to become a LPN.
“Annie has compassion for our residents and families, and serves all in an exemplary manner,” CHRC officials said. “Her focus is the well being and satisfaction of our residents and their families, and will strive diligently every day to accomplish that goal.
“Annie lives with her husband and children in Gainesboro, and is extremely excited about moving forward at CHRC in her new role.”
In addition to the announcement about Robertson, CHRC also celebrated Activities Professionals Week last month.
“Now as never before, more and more attention is being directed to our elderly population, and those who provide their care,” local officials said. “Activity professionals at CHRC help people to live a life that is full of fun and meaningful activities.
“This group provides a person-directed approach in caring for our residents, and it’s wonderful to watch.”
This year’s theme for Activity Professionals Week was “Shaping the Future,” and CHRC officials explained that is exactly what their activity team does.
“The activities department is the heart and spirit of our facility!” they said. “They provide many experiences for residents that inspire, engage, enrich, and make their lives so much better.
“The hands that provide care and bring comfort, contentment, joy, and laughter are often those of activity professionals, and Activities Professional Week provides a great opportunity to foster and showcase the wonderful things that activity professionals create, and CHRC certainly has the best!”
