CELINA K-8 BASEBALL FINISHES STRONG-Celina K-8 Baseball finished their season as Tri-Lakes Conference Runner-up, after battling back from a first-game loss all the way through the loser’s bracket to play for the league title.  The Jr. Dawgs fell in their opener to Fentress County, before beating both Pickett and Fentress County to make the championship game, where they eventually finished second behind tournament host school Monterey.  The team, coached by Ben Upton and Parker Donaldson, finished the season with a 12-7 record.  The Jr. Dawg roster was made up of (first row, left to right) Miles Upchurch, Brentley Long, Easton Adams, Parker Upchurch, Easton Garner, Lance Pigg, (second row, left to right) Emory Soto, Bentley Martin, Hayden Davis, Eli Davis, and Avery Smith.  Parker Upchurch, Eli Davis, and Easton Garner received all tournament honors following Celina’s runner-up finish.
