Local sheriff to serve as TSA Division 3 Vice President
SEVIERVILLE-Clay County Sheriff Brandon Boone was chosen as one of the new leaders of a statewide law enforcement organization here late last month, when he was elected to serve on the 2025-26 Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association (TSA) Board of Directors.
Boone, who was elected sheriff in 2010 and is currently serving his fourth term locally, assumed the TSA’s role of Division 3 Vice President here at the association’s annual conference on July 31.
The 19-member board is made up of a president, a president-elect, a second vice president, a vice president for each of the four divisions, a director for each of the four divisions, and eight past presidents.
Besides Clay County, TSA Division 3 is comprised of 27 other counties, including Cumberland, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, White, and others in the region.
According to their website, TSA was founded in 1971 “to bring together law enforcement officials across the state of Tennessee who help keep our state safe.”
The information also offered more about the organization.
“Through our work, we advocate for policies that enhance public safety, host conferences for education and training, and provide a platform for law enforcement to connect, network, and share best practices,” the TSA website said. “We believe in a collaborative approach to keeping our communities safe and are committed to working with our members, community leaders, and other stakeholders to create safer and more just communities for all Tennesseans.”
