Live fall sports broadcasts begin next week
CELINA-The Horizon Sports Network will kick off its ninth season of broadcasting Clay County High School sports next week, as the live-stream affiliate of the Dale Hollow HORIZON newspaper begins their 2025 fall sports coverage with both Lady Bulldog Volleyball and Bulldog Football.
The Lady Dawgs will come first, as they host Monterey for their District 7-A opener Tuesday night, before the Dawgs travel to Glasgow, KY for their first game of the season.
Play-by-play veteran Craig Cantrell returns to anchor volleyball coverage, while Thomas Weaver will host and color analyst Doug Strong will also be on the call for the Clay County girls.
Voice of the Bulldogs Daniel Strong, along with both Thomas and Jon Weaver, will also be back for this season of the Dawgs on the gridiron.
Volleyball broadcasts will begin immediately following the conclusion of junior varsity play each night, which begins at 5:30 p.m. Though start times may vary, viewers can expect the network to go live somewhere around 6:30 p.m. each night.
As in the past, football coverage will begin at 6 p.m. with a one-hour pregame show and kickoff to follow at 7 p.m.
All Clay County fall sports broadcasts can be heard online at www.dalehollowhorizon.com or viewed with video on the Dale Hollow Horizon Facebook page at Facebook.com/dalehollowhorizon.
