CELINA-A Clay County Parks and Recreation Town Hall to be held here at the Clay County Fairgrounds Women’s Building was announced earlier this month, and officials are inviting the public to take part from 5-7 p.m. next Wednesday, August 27.

“Come and be a part of shaping the future of our community’s parks and recreation!” multiple social media posts from Clay County Government, the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, and others said.  “Your input matters!

“Help us create a vibrant and inclusive parks system that serves everyone in Clay County.”

The posts listed what attendees can expect at the meeting, including:

• A presentation of findings and recommendations from stakeholder meetings and public surveys;

• A first look at a draft of the Parks & Recreation Master Plan; and

• An opportunity to provide feedback to refine recommendations before finalizing the plan.
