Keen, Dailey pacing golf team

Team notches second-place finish in only qualified match
LIVINGSTON-Seniors Aiden Keen and Brady Dailey are both off to good starts and are pacing the Clay County High School golf team.
Earlier this season, Keen shot the low score at both Hidden Valley with a 35 and Fall Creek Falls with a 39, while he also scored 41 at Hidden Hills and 44 at Cumberland Cove.
Dailey matched Keen’s 44 at Cumberland Cove, and also scored a 43 at Hidden Hills, after shooting 42 and 47 in his first two matches.
He then topped all players with a 38 at Hidden Valley playing against Clarkrange, Pickett County, and Jackson County, while Keen scored a 43 and Matt Weir shot a 49—which was his best score of the season so far.
All three players then made the top five individually last week at the Golden Eagle course, where Keen shot 42, Dailey scored 44, and Weir had a 51 in action against Smith County and York.
Both Keen and Dailey made the TSSAA Class A Golf State Tournament last season.
They, along with Weir, are joined on this year’s team by a host of football players, who have seen limited action so far.
They include Ethan Hayes, Nolan Adams, Warner Melton, Reece Adams, Waylon Cherry, Fletcher Strong and Isaiah Burnette.
The team coached by Andrew Meadows notched a second-place finish at Hidden Valley in action against Cumberland County, KY and York, but have not qualified for team competition since, as only three players have competed.
Bulldog golf will continue their season Thursday at Dale Hollow State Park against Cumberland County, KY.
