Danny “Fisher” Leonard, 55
RED BOILING SPRINGS-Funeral services for Danny “Fisher” Leonard of the Mt. Vernon Community were held here Tuesday, January 20, 2009.
Mr. Leonard passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born February 14, 1953 in Macon County to the late Porter and Mary Ellen Knight Leonard. He was a construction worker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Larry Dale and Vestal Leonard.
He is survived by devoted companion Paula Kelley of the Mt. Vernon Community; daughters Jessica Leonard of Gallatin and Jenna Leonard of Lafayette; sons Brian Leonard of Columbus (OH) and Emerson Leonard of Ridgetop (TN); sisters and brothers-in-law Ruby and Louie Newberry, Rita and Jerry Hix, Donna Davidson, Jean and Lennis Cherry all of Red Boiling Springs, and Reba and Roger Ferguson of Rockdale (TX); brothers Ed Leonard, Benny Leonard, Barry Leonard all of Red Boiling Springs, and Hugh Wayne Leonard of Bowling Green; and grandchildren Dale Bandy, Sarah Leonard, Samantha Leonard, and Joshua Leonard.
Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of Phillip Anderson and Son Funeral Home with Dewayne Fox officiating. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were his nephews. Honorary pallbearers were Travis Thomas, Gary Davis, Darrell Crowder, Cale Copas, and George Curtis.

Janice Cherry, 52
CELINA-Graveside services for Janice Cherry of the Clementsville Community in Clay County were held here Wednesday, January 21, 2009.
Ms. Cherry passed away Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was born January 22, 1956 in Tompkinsville to the late Lex and Edith (Moss) Cherry, who survives. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by sister Joy Cherry of Red Boiling Springs; brother and sister-in-law Kelly (Jane) Cherry of Dalton (GA); nephew Calvin Cherry of Kennesaw (GA); and great-nephew Jacob Cherry of Kennesaw.
Services were conducted at the Pitcock Cemetery in Moss with Wesley Hazel and Gary Wilder officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Harold Moss, Donald Moss, Jackie Moore, Dayton Birdwell, Gene Turner, and Shae Rich.
Hall Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.
