Savage Lee Webb, 95
CELINA-Funeral services for Savage Lee Webb of Pea Ridge were held here Sunday, May 24, 2009.
Mr. Webb passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Cookeville Regional Hospital.
He was born January 17, 1914 in Pea Ridge to the late James Daniel and Eula Mae (Sherrell) Webb. He was a farmer and was affiliated with the Rock Springs Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife Stella (Crawford) Webb; second wife Ova (Scott) Webb; son D.C. Webb; and brothers Grady, J.B. and Marshall Webb.
He is survived by daughters and son-in-law Lavena Clark of Celina and Grace and J.C. Watson of Burkesville; grandchildren Jim Clark, Danny Watson, Susan (Watson) Cross, Eric Webb, and Melissa Webb; great-grandchildren Kelly Main, Taylor Watson, Hailey Watson and Bryson Cross; great-great-grandchildren Alexia Main, Charlie Main and Tristan Main; 5 nephews; and 1 niece.
Services were conducted from Rock Springs Church of Christ with Ken Miller officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jim Clark, Danny Watson, Eric Webb, Jessie Webb, Tim Scott, and Richard Cross. Honorary pallbearers were Randall and Ridley Webb.
Upton Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of the arrangements.
Jewell Christine Cherry Gentry, 88
RED BOILING SPRINGS-Funeral services for Jewell Christine Cherry Gentry, a resident of Knollwood Manor and formerly of Rocky Mound community in Macon County, were held here Tuesday, May 26, 2009.
Mrs. Gentry passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Knollwood Manor.
She was born Saturday, October 16, 1920 in Clay County to the late Grover and Bertha Long Cherry. On July 11, 1940, she married Willard Gentry, who preceded her in death December 25, 1997. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter Lois Gentry; son Stevie Gentry; brother Goldman Cherry; and sisters Goldie Browning and Bonnie Grace.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted from the chapel of Anderson and Son Funeral Home with E.C. Meadows officiating. Burial was in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. Her family and friends served as pallbearers.
Anderson and Son Funeral Home of Red Boiling Springs was in charge of arrangements.
Ricky Nelson Watson, 48
CELINA-Funeral services for Ricky Nelson Watson of Celina were held here Thursday, May 28, 2009.
Mr. Watson passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at his residence.
He was born November 20, 1960 in Clay County to the late Willie Herman and Geneva Gladys (Watson) Watson. He was a foreman for Seelback Tree Service and was affiliated with the Beech Bethany Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Renoth, Randell, and James Watson; and sisters Cornelya Stephens, Comelle Dodson, and Edwina Key.
He is survived by his lifelong friend Tamara Shaye Watson of Celina; son Chadrick Nelson Watson of Celina; daughters Karlie Shaye and Baleigh Brooke Watson both of Celina; sisters Mary Ruth Keen, Zelma Hughes, and Barbara Roach all of Celina; other relatives Chris Watson and Jeremy Ferguson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Levi Stephens officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Chris Keen, Dusty Adams, Terry Dodson, Reed Dodson, Toopy Kerr, and Darrell Poindexter. Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Ferguson, Chris Watson, Shawn Watson and Chase Stephens.
