Wilbert “Mousie” White, 82

CELINA-Funeral services for Wilbert “Mousie” White of Celina were held here Tuesday, July 28, 2009.

Mr. White passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the Cumberland River Hospital.

He was born March 9, 1927 in Moss to the late Alto and Lovie (Rich) White. He was a farmer and was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Frank and Bazle White; and sisters Clema Davis, Delno Kirby, and Clarice Likens.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Bill Threet officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Harold McLerran, Buddy Likens, Jeremy Taylor, Aaron McLerran, Jeffery Taylor, Jerry McLerran, and Joe Davis.

Upton Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.

James “Cobby” Hayes, 70

CELINA-Funeral services for James “Cobby” Hayes of Celina were held here Wednesday, July 29, 2009.

Mr. Hayes passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009 at his residence.

He was born November 6, 1938 in Celina to the late Cornell and Anna (Dale) Hayes. He was a supervisor for Heavy Electric and a member of the Beech Bethany Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Hayes; son and daughter-in-law Zane and Monica Hayes of Celina; daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Kenny Elkins of Okeechobee (FL); sister and brother-in-law Mildred and Tommy Goodpasture of Oliver Springs (TN); and four grandchildren–Maggie, Brandon, Zoe, and Carson.

Services were conducted from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Kenny Westmoreland officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Steve Headrick, Joe Halfacre, Joe Jones, Danny Stone, Bobby Gentry, and Glenn Stone.

Upton Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.
