Dawg, Gordonsville game moved to Thursday
GORDONSVILLE-The Gordonsville – Clay County high school football game has been rescheduled for Thursday night, Oct. 22 at 7:00 p.m., it was announced on Wednesday.
The trip here will be the last Region 4 game of the year for Clay County, who will entertain Oliver Springs in game number 10 next week.
The teams will enter the game with identical 4-4 records. Clay County is 3-4 in region play, and stopped a three-game losing streak with a win last week over Pickett County. Gordonsville is 3-3 in region play, and had a four-game winning streak stopped last Friday, falling 21-19 to Watertown.
The Tigers started the season with a rough three-game stretch, losing to highly-regarded Smith County, Friendship Christian, and Trousdale County. Gordonsville will host Pickett County in their regular-season finale next week.
