Donald E. Bilbrey
RED BOILING SPRINGS – Funeral Services for Donald E. Bilbrey 85, of Lafayette were conducted August 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Jerry Mercer officiating. Interment followed in the Pitcock Cemetery. His family and friends served as pallbearers.
Mr. Bilbrey passed away Saturday afternoon, August 28, 2010 at the St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.
He was born February 28, 1925 in Clay County, Tennessee, one of nine children of the late Ed and Ada Condra Bilbrey. He married Jean Brown, who preceded him in death. On September 30, 1992, he married Mable Lee Reeves Clark, who survives. In addition to his first wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Sissom. Donald was a former employee with the Mays Mattress Company in Indianapolis, IN for many years and a member of the Lafayette Church of Christ.
Survivors include: wife, Mable Clark Bilbrey, Lafayette, step-daughters, Shelia Smith and husband, Richard, Hermitage Springs, Sheena Clark, Lafayette; sisters, Doris Jackson, Lafayette, Lorene Long and Dorene Bilbrey, Celina, Lexie Supperd, Tipton, IN, Evelyn Brown and husband, Paul, Moss; brothers, David Bilbrey, Celina, James R. Bilbrey and wife, Linda, Rickman; 3 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-great-grandchild.
