Storm causes widespread damage with 61 mph winds
A springtime storm with sustained winds of 32 mph and gusts as high as 61 mph swept across Clay County this past Monday, April 4, 2011 bringing heavy rain and damage to trees, homes and other buildings in all areas of the county. There were reports of damage to at least two homes in Celina, an unconfirmed report of metal ripped from an auto repair business in the Moss area and numerous reports of trees broken or downed causing power outages and dislodging tombstones.
