City of Celina sewer rehabilitation bid awarded
CELINA-A contract in the amount of $260,184 was awarded to Garrison Construction for sewer rehabilitation during the January meeting of the City of Celina’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen. The project and bid award was recommended by city engineer Neal Westerman.
The motion to accept the bid of Garrison Construction was made by Joey Locke, seconded by Don Haston and carried by vote of those present.
Other issues raised during the meeting included the status of dealing with abandoned buildings in the downtown area, sewer service in the newer section on Clark Subdivision and the de-annexation of farm property now in the city limits.
Present at the meeting were Mayor Willie Kerr, Aldermen Don Haston and Joey Locke, city employees Kevin Donaldson and James Hamilton, and visitors Luke Collins, Abbigail Collins, Phillip Matthews, Doug Young, Susan S. Bailey, Charles Zywusko, and , Brad Stafford.
