CELINA-Bertha’s Quik Shop & Wash is now a tourist welcome center and in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce offers brochures for Clay County marinas, businesses, events such as the Moonshine Daze festival, fishing and hunting information, and other attractions to tourists and visitors.
Ray Norris of the Chamber stated, “Bertha’s location is a premiere site for a welcome center especially since many tourists stop for gas, food and directions. Additionally, since she is adjacent to the Clay County Fairgrounds and Sports Complex her involvement in assisting with the pamphlet distribution is very helpful as she has proven very valuable over the past few years in distributing a number of flyers, maps, etc. and the high traffic volume at her store is a big plus. Also her volunteer work with various Three Star committees and projects is helping to improve life in Clay County.”
All Clay County businesses are welcome to display their business cards or brochures in the new center.
