Cardiologist seeing patients in Celina
CELINA-Stacy Brewington, M.D., a cardiologist, is now scheduling office visits at Cumberland River Hospital (CRH) every other Tuesday for the citizens of Clay and surrounding counties.
Patients will now have the convenience of seeing a cardiologist closer to home instead of having to travel to Cookeville for each visit.
Cardiology is a medical specialty dealing with disorders of the heart. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease (a disease process involving one or more of the valves of the heart) and electrophysiology (study of the electrical properties and conduction diseases of the heart).
Dr. Brewington received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, TN. He completed his internal medicine residency at University of Tennessee in Nashville, TN, fellowship in cardiology at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, and fellowship in interventional cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.
He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Brewington currently practices at Tennessee Heart in Cookeville, TN.
