FSA sets Farm Bill information meeting
COOKEVILLE-Clay County farm producers may attend a Farm Bill meeting, to learn about Farm Service Agency (FCA) programs and how to access them, scheduled for Tuesday, January 20 at 9 a.m. at the Putnam County Extension office at 900 South Walnut Avenue here.
The meeting is also open other area producers and the general public.
Meeting attendees will learn about Farm Service Agency (FSA) Farm Bill programs and important related information including Base Acre Reallocation, Yield Updates, Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC), Price Loss Coverage (PLC), supplemental Coverage Option (SCO), and FSA online Decision Aids.
Extension specialists will demonstrate the online decision-making tools that are available to producers to help make important enrollment decisions regarding the Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs. Learning more about ARC and PLC is extremely important for producers who must make a one-time decision about base and yield updates as well as ARC or PLC election and enrollment decisions. An FSA representative will be in attendance to answer any questions on ARC and PLC policy and procedure.
