Amy A. Parker, 85, of Columbus, IN, a native of Clay County, died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the home of her daughters in Brown County, IN.
A homemaker, Mrs. Parker was a member of East Columbus Christian Church and her hobbies included quilting, cooking and taking care of her family.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2011 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, 1029 Washington Street, Columbus, IN with Ron Bridgewater officiating.
Family and friends may call from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2010 and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society or the donor’s choice of charities.

Born in Clay County, Tennessee January 27, 1925, Mrs. Parker was the daughter of William Mansfield and Nancy Ann Crawford Likens. She married Darnell Parker February 2, 1942. He preceded her March 29, 1999.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley E. Parker and Judy A. (Berke Hooton) Parker both of Brown County, IN; a step-grandson, John Hooton of Indianapolis, IN; step-great granddaughters, Catelyn, Shelby and Raegan Hooton; a sister, Annie (Martin) Imlay of Columbus and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a twin brother, Amos Likens.
