Celina K-8 and Hermitage Springs events set for Thursday, July 31

CLAY COUNTY-Both of the county’s elementary schools are hosting back-to-school open houses here next week to help students get ready to head back to class next month.

Celina K-8 and Hermitage Springs School have events set for parents and their children to attend the same day on Thursday, July 31.

Celina students attending PreK-3rd grade are invited to come to the school from 5-6 p.m., while 4th through 8th-grade students are scheduled from 6-7 p.m.

At Hermitage Springs, the event begins at 4:30 with a meet and greet with teachers in their classrooms, continues with a parent meeting in the gym from 5-5:30 p.m., and wraps up with more meet and greet time with teachers in their classrooms from 5:30-6 p.m.

The first full day of school here is set for Monday, August 4, with Friday, August 1 serving as an abbreviated registration day with dismissal at 9 a.m.
