Benefits for Evan Hayes are ongoing

Jeep ride, tailgate party to be held the next two weekends
CELINA-Local efforts to support for 14-year-old Evan Hayes will continue here this week, after the inspirational young man, who has battled leukemia since he was six years old, has witnessed the community offer shows of encouragement since he returned home from the hospital last month.
A successful benefit concert over the weekend was just one of the events held recently, and a couple of more are scheduled for the next two weekends, including A Crawlin’ For a Cure Benefit Ride beginning here at Donaldson Park at 11 a.m. this Saturday, May 10 and a Free Tailgate Party to be held at the same location next Saturday, May 17.
Jeeps, trucks, and licensed side-by-sides are welcome this Saturday, and a meal will be provided following the ride. The cost is $35 per rider. For more information, call 931-644-4524.
The Tailgate Party will begin at 5 p.m. the following Saturday at the park here, featuring music, food, drinks, and more. “Come out and celebrate our Evan!” organizers said. For more information, call 615-906-0992.
Donations for Evan Hayes are also being accepted at the Bank of Celina and other area Citizens Bank of Lafayette branches. They can also be made via Venmo at @Shayes3232.
