CHS commencement exercises to be held Thursday
The seventeenth annual commencement exercises of Celina High School began last Sunday and will close Thursday.
The baccalaureate sermon was delivered in the high school Sunday by Elder G.B. Gaither, of the Gainesboro Church of Christ, to a large crowd.
William Fitzgerald was the class valedictorian and Jewell Dean Arms was salutatorian. Karl Napier was president of the class of twenty-two.

The Gospel Quartet singers of Glasgow, Ky. sang at the Eminence Church of Christ at Memorial Sunday night.

Jesse Asby, who is drilling a well on the Stephens lease, returned to his home in St. Louis, Mo. on Saturday.

Masons of the Cookeville District, under the directions of District Chairman Dero Brown of Cookeville, will meet in the city school building at Cookeville on Wednesday, April 20, starting with sectional meetings of various Lodge officers and members at 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Hugh Butler of Lafayette spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Iva Fitzgerald.

E.L. Raines of Memphis was here Sunday looking over oil interests.

Mrs. W.P. Clements and son of Dallas, Texas spent last week here with Mr. Clements, who is in the oil business here.

Mr. and Mrs. G.C. Ward and daughter, Ozela; Mr. and Mrs. Millard Gibbons and Mr. and Mrs. Bailey Upton of Hilham attended the baccalaureate sermon at Celina High School on Sunday.
