Santa Claus letters will be published again
Santa Claus letters will be published in the Bugle again this year, without charge to the children writing them. They must, however, reach the Bugle office not later than December 19, in order to insure publication.

Celina children are invited to write to “Santa Claus” and to hear the good Saint read their names over the air. Write in care of WLAC, Nashville, Tennessee.
Santa Claus is being heard over WLAC each afternoon at 4:15, speaking from his great toy factory in Icy Caps, Alaska, and he reports being very happy over the hundreds of letters he is receiving from his little friends down south.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Holman Terry, 74, who died at her home in the Pleasant Grove community of Clay County on the morning of November 4, following an illness of several days, were conducted from the home on November 6, with Elder W.L. Brown officiating. Burial was in the Donaldson Cemetery on Pea Ridge.

Mr. and Mrs. Chatt Rich and family of Sparta spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Wade Rich.

Mrs. Elizabeth Dale Baugh spent Thanksgiving with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Dale.

In an effort to help meet the urgent war needs for more nurses, the Berea College School of Nursing will start a class for beginning nurses the second semester opening January 26, Charles T. Morgan, Director of Admissions has announced. This is the first time that a January class has been started.

Johnnie J. Parko left for Denver, Colorado, from which point he will leave for induction into the Army, Thursday of next week.

Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Cherry and little daughter, Betty Ruth spent part of the last week with Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Lorance at Daylight, Tennessee.

Mrs. Homer Brown, recent bride of Memorial Tennessee was honored with a miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. Roy Spear at Memorial on Saturday afternoon. A large number of beautiful and useful gifts were received by the honoree.

Arthur and Bob Terry of Texas and Lon Terry of Florida are visiting relatives in and near Celina.

Mr. and Mrs. George Coffee are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Coffee.
