Fitzgerald listed among student “Who’s Who”
Mr. William Marion Fitzgerald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde V. Fitzgerald, is among those students who will be listed in the 1940-41 issue of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
This publication is published through the cooperation of over 500 American universities and colleges. Mr. Fitzgerald, a member of the Engineering and Math Club at Tennessee Polytechnic Institute, has been listed on the Honor Roll every quarter of his attendance, with the exception of the first, and is working his way through school.

An Angus calf belonging to Walter Arms, of near Celina, was judged the grand champion in the annual Clay County baby beef show held on the public square here Wednesday.
First place winners in the various classes were Hugh Bailey, Eugene White, Sargent Clinton, Edward Clinton and Junior Lynn.

Survey parties and other groups from the office of the United States district engineer in Nashville are busy at sites for three proposed dams in Tennessee on tributaries of the Cumberland River.
These sites are Center Hill, on the Caney Fork, Stewart’s Ferry on Stones River and Three Islands on the Harpeth River.

Over 300 rural men and women attended the R.E.A. meeting held on Friday night, December 6 in the High School Auditorium. This meeting was sponsored by the County and Home Agents, Agricultural Extension Service and Tri-County Electric Membership Cooperation.

Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Cherry and little daughter, Betty Ruth spent Sunday at Arcot.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Everette Langford on December 11, an 8 pound boy.
