CELINA – Funeral Services for Billy Lee “Butch” Strong, 63 of Celina were held Friday, December 10, 2010 at Upton Funeral Home with Bro. Roland Smith & Bro. Robert Boles officiating. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery.

Butch Strong passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the Cookeville Regional Hospital in Celina, Tennessee.

Billy Lee Strong was born February 10, 1947 in Moss, Tennessee to the Willie A. Strong and the late Lattie Lee (Perrin) Strong.

Butch was a retired mechanic for Head Equipment and a believer in Christ.

His family includes spouse, Gail Strong of Celina; father, Willie A. (Billy) Strong of Celina; son, William Larry Strong & wife, Amy Beth of Crossville, Tennessee; sisters, Joyce Halsell & husband, Billy of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee and Martha Green & husband, Ronnie of Lebanon, Tennessee; special sister-in-law, Connie Kendall of Celina; brothers-in-law, Tim Rich and Danny Kendall; grandchildren, Callie Elizabeth, Mollie Grace and Ellie Beth Strong.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by sister, Linda Carol Rich.

Serving as pallbearers were Johnny Rich, James Green Jr., Chris Green, Andy Green, Pat Smith and James Head.
