CLARKRANGE-The Clay County Bulldog boys basketball team clinched the District 7-A regular-season title with a hard-fought 53-46 win over the host Buffaloes Thursday night.

The Bulldogs led by four at the half, and held a seven-point lead after three. They fought off a fourth-quarter surge by the Buffaloes to finish the regular season with a 9-1 district record.

The Buffaloes and Jackson County finished at 7-3 in district play.

The top-ranked Clarkrange girls beat the Lady Bulldogs 53-32 to finish with a 10-0 district mark and remain unbeaten overall.
