Lady Bulldogs Rachel Burnette and Sydney Roach have been named the HORIZON players of the week. 

The young CCHS duo combined for 22 points last week in the Lady Dawgs’ win at home against Friendship Christian, their second victory of the season over the Lady Commanders.

Burnette was the leading scorer in the contest with 12 points, scoring six in each half, while Roach added 10, scoring five in each half. Roach hit a late free throw to boost the lead to three points, the eventual winning margin. Burnette was named to the district all-freshman team last year, and Roach is a strong candidate to be selected this season.
