Campsites wash away

CELINA-Three campsites here at Dale Hollow Damsite Campground have been closed and deemed unusable after a “significant bank slide has caused the adjacent riverbank to wash away,” the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced on the Dale Hollow Lake Facebook page last week.
“These sites are not safe, and closures are placed to minimize hazard to the public,” the post said of sites 53, 56, and 58 at the campground along the Obey River. “Customers with reservations will be notified by email and will be provided a full refund.
“We regret the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.”
