Canton Lodge presents donation to rescue squad

East Clay Fire Department also chosen in random draw including all local VFDs
CELINA-The local Masonic Lodge recently held a drawing to determine the recipients of two $250 donations. The random drawing included all of the fire departments located in Clay County and the rescue squad.
The winners chosen at random for the donations were the Clay County Rescue Squad and the East Clay Fire Department.
Lodge members presented the first check during the rescue squad’s regular meeting held on January 7. The $250 donation to the East Clay Fire Department will be presented in the near future.
The lodge was able to donate to local first responders thanks to fundraising. Funds were raised during the 2025 cruise in and car show that Canton Lodge puts on annually.
“Canton Lodge #481 wants to thank our sponsors of the car show and cruise in, the people who bring the vehicles and the general public who attended the events,” Lodge representative Randy Allen said. “We thank you all and are proud to give back to our local community.”
Fundraising also allows the local masonic lodge to provide scholarships to Clay County High School students. Scholarships will be awarded and announced closer to the high school graduation date.
More information about future car shows, cruise-ins, and the local lodge can be found on the public Facebook group Canton Lodge #481.
