Carrie Edna Brown, 86

CELINA-Funeral Services for Mrs. Carrie Edna Brown, also known as “Momma Brown,” 86, of Celina, TN were held October 23 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Walker Cemetery with Shirley Jones Officiating.

Mrs. Brown passed away at the Cumberland River Hospital on October 21, 2010.

She was born on October 22, 1923 to the late William Lafayette and Alice (Burgess) Mayberry in Overton Co., Tennessee. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cave Springs Church of Christ.

She is survived by daughters Evelyn (Wayne) Strong and Barbara (Terry) Lawson of Gainesboro; sons Walter (Patricia) Brown of Livingston and Terry Brown of Nashville; brother Booze Mayberry of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren Tammy (Joey) Denson, Pam (Robby) Scantland, Tiffany Lawson, Nathan Lawson, Nick (Chrissy) Brown, Jada (Jamie) Collier, Chasity (Wayne) West, and Jason (Brittany) Brown; and 16 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Jerry Brown, husband Will Herman Brown and parents William Lafayette and Alice (Burgess) Mayberry.
