Celina city hall destroyed by fire Friday morning; temporary location is set up in Eads building on the square
CELINA-The building that houses city hall and the Clay County Rescue Squad here was destroyed by fire early Friday morning.
The building was described by mayor Buddy Thompson as a “total loss,” and firefighters were on the scene at roughly 2 a.m. battling the blaze, he said.

A temporary city hall has been set up on the square in Eads building (most recently a Chinese restaurant), city officials said. Phone lines have been installed, and people who need to conduct city business in person can do that there.
