Celina native to serve Tennessee Pharmacy Association as president
CHATTANOOGA-Celina High School graduate and Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) pharmacist Casey White was recently installed as the 2013-2014 President of the Tennessee Pharmacists Association (TPA) here at the organization’s 126th Annual Convention.
Dr. White PharmD, BCPS, BCNSP is the Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator and post-graduate year-one Residency Director at CRMC, whose pharmacy services received the Innovative Health-System Pharmacy Practice Award this year.
He received his PharmD degree from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center in Memphis.
Dr. White previously served as President of the Tennessee Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP). He is also currently serving as President of the Upper Cumberland Pharmacists Association. In 2007, he received the TSHP Pharmacist of the Year Award, and in 2009, he received the TPA Young Pharmacist of the Year Award.
Dr. White and his wife, Lori, reside with their three daughters Kaley, Catherine, and Allie in Cookeville. They also attend Baxter Church of Christ.
The Tennessee Pharmacists Association, a professional organization of more than 2,700 pharmacists and student pharmacists in all practice areas across the state, promotes the delivery of quality pharmaceutical care and works to enhance the knowledge, ethics, and skills of pharmacists, as well as to protect and improve public health. As President, Dr. White will serve as Chair of the TPA Board of Directors.
