CELINA-Funeral Services for Charlie Raines of Celina were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Jim Blankenship officiating. Jimmy Raines, William Russell, Dawson Russell, James Raines, Norman Raines and Randy Raines served as active pall bearers.
Charlie Howard Raines, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Celina Health & Rehabilitation Center in Celina.
Charlie was born in the Pea Ridge Community of Clay County on Friday, August 28, 1936.  Throughout his life he was first a husband, father, brother and friend and served in many roles including working many years as a business owner operating and supervising gravel trucks. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Hovie and Ethel (Grogan) Raines; brothers Homer, J.T., Horace, Leslie and Turner. 
Charlie is survived by his wife Earline Raines of Celina; daughter Janie (Ollie) Page of Celina; son James Raines of Celina; brother Walter (Glenda) Raines of Celina; sisters Betty Adams, Dean Green, and Faye (Al) Daniels all of Celina; grandchildren James Lewis Raines, Bridgett Hayes, Jimmy Raines, William Taylor Russell, Dawson Russell; great-grandchildren Adriana, Aspen, Abby, McKinley, Cason, Abram; as well as a host of other family and friends also survive.
