CHRC celebrates Nursing Home Week, gets FFA donation
CHRC celebrates Nursing Home Week, receives flower box from local FFA club
CELINA-Celina Health and Rehabilitation Center (CHRC) celebrated National Nursing Home Week May here earlier this month with many fun activities and events.
The designated week is celebrated each year beginning on Mothers day, and continues throughout that entire week.
National Nursing Home Week is set aside to honor all who are affiliated with and work in long term care. It provides an opportunity to recognize the role of skilled nursing care centers and how they care for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
“CHRC is extremely proud of its staff, residents, families, community and all that they serve,” officials said. “They work very hard providing excellent care in an environment that promotes healing and overall well being.”
FFA donates a flower box
CHRC is more attractive these days, thanks to Clay County High School Ag Instructor/Future Farmers of America (FFA) Sponsor Matt Craighead and local FFA members.
The FFA chapter provided CHRC with a raised flower garden complete with flowers. The flower box was constructed by the chapter and the flowers were raised in the school’s greenhouse.
“Clay County is blessed to have an active FFA chapter that serves its community in such wonderful and beneficial ways,” CHRC officials said.
