City borrows $110K to finance relocation of water/sewer lines
CELINA-The board of mayor and alderman here voted to “accept a loan from Rural Development for $110,000 for the relocation of water and sewer lines” relating to the second phase of construction of the new Highway 52 between Poor House Ridge Road and town, according to minutes from their November 9 meeting and information released from City Hall.
Alderman Donnie Long made the motion to accept the loan and Donald Haston seconded it before it carried on a voice vote.
Long then made a motion to award a bid for the relocation of the same lines, which was also approved by the board, minutes said.
The only other matter discussed at the short meeting was the “current cost of building permits,” minutes said, but it was decided the issue would be tabled to the next meeting.
