Clay County anglers fare well in championship

Carr, Kaslikowski notch Junior Division third-place finish
SILVER POINT-Clay County High School/Junior Division Anglers both fared well in the Central Tennessee BASS Nation Championships held here over the weekend at Edgar Evins State Park on Center Hill Lake.
Highlighted by two Top 10 finishes in the junior division, all five local teams weighed fish in their respective events.
Will Carr and Finn Kaslikowski did the best at the scales with a third-place finish, after weighing in a five-fish limit totaling 11.76 pounds, while Sadie Burks and Haygan Brawner also finished in the Top 10 with 6.79 pounds, which was good enough for eighth place.
In the high school division, Jaxen White and Kale Trobaugh made up the top Clay County team with three fish weighing 8.75 pounds, while Mitchell Boles and Nixon Melton (8.48 lbs.), and Allie Reagan and Faith Burks (7.19 lbs.) also carried three fish to the scales.
