Clay Anti-Drug Coalition provides coloring books to restaurants, will host memorial next Wednesday at historic Clay County Courthouse in Celina
CELINA-The Clay County Anti-Drug Coalition (CCADC) recently provided coloring books to local restaurants to give to youth guests and they will also host a memorial honoring those lost to drug overdose here at the historic Clay County Courthouse next Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on National Overdose Awareness Day.
The coloring books and crayons can be found at area participating businesses and anyone interested in attending the memorial can receive two memorial flowers from the CCADC office on Tuesday, August 30 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. here at 139 East Lake Ave. Suite E to place at the memorial site on August 31.
The coalition also has purple light bulbs available for those who would like to put them in their porch lights to commemorate the event. The community is also encouraged to wear purple that day and community partners are displaying signs and ribbons in support of the effort.
