CELINA-Celina Health and Rehabilitation Center (CHRC) celebrated CNA Week last month, where they honored their certified nursing assistants (CNAs).

“Healthcare providers, residents, and family members observe CNA Week as a way to recognize and appreciate them for all that they do,” CHRC officials said.  “CNA’s are definitely the backbone of nursing care and provide a significant portion of the direct care given to residents.

“They provide care and compassion and bring comfort in all ways possible.”

CHRC honored CNAs Ashley Kerr, Ashton Fox, Autumn Lawson, Barbara Isabell, Brandy Hines-Levin, Britney Wayman, Brittnye Hornaday, Chelsey Davis, Eli Bartholomew, Emilea Rhoton, Hailey Montogomery, Hailey Stafford, Jamie Thompson, Jessica Webb, Kaitlyn Compton, Kayla Richardson, Kenady May, Kim Fortino, Kristen Mathews, Lana Boswell, Mallie Craft, Mary Smith, Megin Goad, Megan Whitehead, Myaleiha Bean, Patricia Wright, Rebecca Sells, Shanna Monroe, Tonya Pritchett, and Tristan Simpson for their compassionate care during the week.

CNAs began working under the Red Cross program during World War I, serving alongside nurses, and continue to do the same today.

“They do incredible work and are the front line heroes caring for elders and people with disabilities,” officials said.  “This years theme was ‘We’ll Be There For You,’ which sums up how they regard the people they care for.

“Celina Health and Rehab is so fortunate to have a wonderful team of CNA’s, who demonstrate daily their care and concern for others. Thank you so much for the outstanding job that you do, and the dedication you have for the people you serve.”
