Successful cruise-in brings joy to CHRC residents
Special event one of four held this year by local Masonic Lodge
CELINA-Thanks to Canton Lodge #481, the days of Celina Health and Rehabilitation (CHRC) residents were brightened over the weekend.
The local group hosted a cruise-in here at the facility Saturday featuring free food and entertainment for residents and staff.
“The goal of the event was to provide residents and staff of the facility with a great evening of awesome cars, trucks, music, and food,” local Masonic Lodge officials said. “We had a great turnout and are thankful for all involved.”
Over 30 vehicles showed up for the event, and dozens of CHRC residents gathered under a canopy and on the back patio to view the vehicles, enjoy food, and listen to music.
The special cruise-in at CHRC was one of four the local Masonic Lodge is hosting in Clay County this year.
The events help the group raise money to fund scholarships awarded to Clay County High School (CCHS) students.
In 2024, Canton Lodge #481 presented four $250 scholarships to CCHS graduates.
Additionally, proceeds from last year’s events allowed the Lodge to donate $250 to the Celina Volunteer Fire Department, which was chosen at random.
