Cumberland Run Cruise-In well attended
CELINA-The recent Cumberland Run Cruise-In on the Courthouse House Square here garnered so much interest among area car enthusiasts that registration for the event was opened an hour earlier than planned to accommodate the more than 86 classic or show cars that were on display with the first 50 registrants receiving a complimentary T-shirt.
Clay County autos represented the most cars in the exhibit with other entries from neighboring counties in Tennessee and Kentucky also in attendance.
Organizers estimated the crowd of car gazers at about three hundred for the 3 hours of the gathering for car admiration and motor talk.
CruisersClassicsClunkers of Clay County put on the show with the help of sponsors Scott’s Bestway, Hale’s Body Shop, Johnny Browns Shop, Subway, Ollie’s Place, David’s Auto Repair, Dairy Queen, HS Grocery, NAPA, Dale Hollow One-Stop, Randall’s Garage, Bertha’s Quik Shop, TKM, Celina Lumber Co., Doris’s Restaurant, One Stop BBQ, O’ Reilly’s of Tompkinsville, Clay County Farm Supply, C&S Classic Cars, and the Clay County Chamber of Commerce.
