The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ celebration of Dale Hollow Dam’s 75th Anniversary is ongoing and currently continues online via the Dale Hollow Lake Facebook page, where more historic images and information are being released. The Corps is currently unveiling photos and information about the people and places adversely affected by the formation of the lake, including this photo of the town of Willow Grove—which is now underwater. “Several families and communities had to relocate and start an entire new life,” the Corps explained in a Facebook post.  “Let’s not forget their sacrifice and continue to share our appreciation as we enjoy what is now a recreation and sportsman’s paradise.” For specific information about the above photo and much more, visit www.facebook.com/dalehollowlake.
