TOMPKINSVILLE, KY-Funeral services for Delcie Ree Smith Arnett, 85 of Tompkinsville, KY were held December 3, 2010 at the Strode Funeral Home. Bro. J.E. Shoulders officiated. Burial followed in the Freedom #2 Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Smith, Paul Smith, Mike Rich, Anthony Smith, Ricky Smith & Billy Smith. Her grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.

Delcie Ree Smith Arnett passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville. She was born in Clay County, TN on September 8, 1924 to the late Allen Smith and Eva Guffee Smith. She was a member of the Freedom #2 Missionary Baptist Church, a retired homemaker and the widow of William Eford Arnett, who died January 10, 2004. They were married on May 22, 1943 in Tompkinsville.

She is survived by sons James & Janell Arnett of Moss, David & Cathy Arnett of Red Boiling Springs, Steve & Roetta Arnett of Tompkinsville; daughters Janice & James McLerran of Celina, Glenda & Harlon Watson of Celina, Nelda & Larry McLerran of Moss; brothers Bazz Ray Smith of Tompkinsville, Johnnie Smith of Moss; sisters Annie Mae Rich of Moss, Dovie Netherton of Missouri, Josephine Smith of Red Boiling Springs; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents & husband, she was preceded in death by son Wade Arnett; daughter Brenda Arnett; brothers Turner Smith, Cecil Smith, Buford Smith; sisters Zelma Trobaugh, Elsie Trobaugh; and grandson Waylon Arnett.
