Drivers license and sobriety checkpoint dates set by THP
CLAY COUNTY-The Tennessee Highway Patrol recently released sites and dates for drivers license and sobriety checkpoints here and in neighboring Jackson County over the coming months.
There will be a total of four checkpoint dates in Clay County, a THP news release said, with the checkpoints set to begin on July 10, and run through September.
Clay County
• Friday, July 10–Driver’s license checkpoint set for SR 52 at the bottom of Walker Hill from 5-6 p.m. and SR 53 at Neely’s Creek Road Road from 8-9 p.m.,
• Friday, July 24–Driver’s license checkpoints set for SR 53 at the Amos Arms Road from 9-10 a.m. and SR 52 at Little Trace Creek Road from 12-1 p.m.,
• Friday, Sept. 4–Driver’s license checkpoints set for SR 52 at bottom of Walker Hill from 5-6 p.m., and SR 53 at Neely’s Creek Road from 8-9 p.m.,
• Friday, August 7–Sobriety checkpoints at SR 52 at east end of Cumberland River Bridge from 6-7 p.m., and SR 52 at Little Trace Creed Road and Bakerton Road from 9-10 p.m.
Jackson County
• Friday, August 28–Driver’s license checkpoint set for SR 85 at the Greenwood Ridge Road from 5-6 p.m., and SR 262 at the fairgrounds from 8-9 p.m.,
• Friday, July 3–Sobriety checkpoints set for SR 290 at the Putnam County line from 6-7 p.m., and SR 56 at mile marker 1 from 9-10 p.m.,
• Friday, July 31–Sobriety checkpoints set for SR 135 at Putnam County line from 6-7 p.m., and SR 56 at mile marker 3 from 9-10 p.m., and
• Friday, September 25–Sobriety checkpoints at SR 53 at the north end of River Bridge from 6-7 p.m., and SR 135 at the Putnam County line from 9-10 p.m.
