Out of this World Pie (makes two pies)

1 can cherry pie filling

3/4 cup sugar

1 large can crushed pineapple with juice

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon red food coloring

one (3 oz.) pkg. cherry Jello

4 bananas, sliced

1 cup chopped pecans

2 baked pie shells

whipped topping

Combine pie filling, sugar, pineapple, cornstarch and food coloring in a saucepan and cook until thick. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in Jello. Cool.

Stir in bananas and pecans. Pour into the baked pie shells. Chill well and top with whipped topping.

Dump Cake

1 can crushed pineapple

1 can cherry pie filling

1 box yellow cake mix

1 stick margarine

Pour pineapple and cherry pie filling into a greased 13 x 9 cake pan. Sprinkle on dry cake mix. Dot with margarine chunks.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve warm in squares, topped with ice cream or whipped cream.
