Fred Lee
Fred Lee, age 75, of the Milestown community in Clay County, TN passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 5, 2011 at his residence. Funeral Services for Fred Lee were conducted Saturday afternoon, January 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Roy Henson officiating. Interment followed in the Pitcock Cemetery with military honors. Honorary Pallbearers were Max Endicott, Gary Head, Michael Lee, Travis Cherry, Brian Cherry, Hugh Tim Cherry and James Hamilton. Active Pallbearers were his family.
He was born Tuesday, October 8, 1935 in Lucas County, Ohio, the son of the late Harry and Bonnie Ree Short Lee. Fred attended MTSU in Murfreesboro for 2 years and later served in the United States Army where he proudly served his country. He was the co-owner & operator of Pine Hill Angus Farms in Clay County, dock worker and truck driver for Mannion Express in Detroit, MI with 30 years of service where he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union for 30 years. Besides his love for raising cattle, he was an avid Vanderbilt Commodore fan.
Survivors include: sisters & brother-in-law, Doris Pugh, Charlotte, Joyce Fleming, Nashville, Janice & Richard DeVoe, Gainesboro, brothers & sisters-in-law, Clyde Lee, Milestown Community, Johnnie & Irene Lee, McDowell, KY, William & Sue Lee, Milan, MI, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
