Free music event set in Livingston
LIVINGSTON-A free music and art event called Live in Livingston is set downtown here May 4 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. as an effort to promote and expand music and art tourism initiatives throughout middle Tennessee.
The event is being hosted by the Programming and Public Engagement Initiative of the Council of Americana Roots Music (COARM), in partnership with the Town of Livingston, TN. COARM is a certified non profit 501c3.
Patrons will enjoy a headlining performance by Grammy Award winner and multi-instrumentalist Sam Bush. Other performances will include Hayes Carll, Eric Brace & Peter Cooper, The New Familiars, Doug & Telisha, Jay Clark, and Wilder Mountain.
Performances will broadcast live throughout the Upper Cumberland on local PBS affiliate WCTE. Bush will also be recorded as part of the national Jammin at Hippie Jack’s public television series.
A free yoga class by Synergy Studio will also be held beginning at 10 a.m. on the court house lawn.
Attendees can also visit local shops, art vendors, eateries, while listening to a full day of live music. Non-perishable food items will also be collected for a local food drive.
Organizers suggest patrons bring chairs, sunscreen, and an appetite for great music.
